Just Nudism is a very precious creation of mine. It’s an idea over a decade in the making, and I’m just glad that it’s finally there for the world to enjoy. My pride in Just Nudism comes entirely from the journey of its making. Here, I want to share this journey with all my nudie friends so that they can better understand my thought process, as well as the purpose behind the site. From my introduction to the web, my interests in freedom, as well as obtaining this freedom with travel, many factors impacted this project. With that having been said, what better place to start this journey than my life in the Middle East.

My Introduction to the Internet and the World of Nudism

In 2004, Iraq had just been newly introduced to the internet, which caught my attention quickly. Naturally, I took interest in researching nudist lives and social media. I wanted to learn about people from far away who share my ideals since no one around me did; I wanted to know their stories and what nudity meant to them. This, however, wasn’t immediately simple to access, as I had no personal computer nor any other way to access the internet at my house. Not to mention, I felt my family’s intense gaze upon all of my actions, which made me feel more pressured and suppressed. It was a dangerous operation, but every little moment I was spared on my work computer was used to communicate with nudists all over the world via nudist social media outlets. My identity was unknown at the time, which, while upsetting, helped make me feel safe in the Middle East. Having concealed my identity, I made many friends in all corners of the world through social media, some of which really helped encourage me to lose my fear of telling people about my beliefs. This process lasted two years, but during 2006, when I finally owned a personal computer, I began using all of my free time to research naturism and nudism, to better understand the ideals of those who love their nature as much as I do. When I read about their aspirations and dreams, I was filled with hope and determination. Since then, I started to think seriously of how I can start a project that supports nudism. A project that I can put all my passion into and a project that would create a wonderful experience for everyone who values being naked.

Moving to the United States

Two months prior to moving to the United States in 2014, I started having dreams of meeting nudists. I felt a need for freedom, a need to express myself without fear because, afterall, I am moving to the land of the free, where everyone is given an equal opportunity—or so I wanted to believe. I won’t deny how deeply it shocked and saddened me to realize the similarities between the U.S. and the Middle East—most people were not open to the idea of nudism. I kept my identity a secret, and my nudist pictures never had my face in them. I either gave the camera my back, or the angle showed all but my head. This remained the case for multiple years, but my frustrations grew and grew until they burst in 2018. Finally, after fourteen years, I went under my real name and face on social media. It was a step I felt necessary to vindicate my stress and grievance. This quickly revealed to me something I had been missing for a long time.

Spotting the Error in Modern Day Online Nudism

I noticed a problem quite quickly after sharing my looks with my nudie friends and the world, a critical problem at that. These sites we all love and use are vulnerable. A lack of care and passion severely impaired the content of such a pure and innocent concept. After the verification process of an account is completed, account owners can post anything they like, as well as change their information at any time, which led to many fake accounts, as well as many accounts that just posted porn. This felt like an insult to naturism and nudism, which irritated me greatly. It is one thing to conceal your identity, but it is a completely different story when you steal something and pass it off as your own. There needed to be better moderation, better care, of these internationally utilized sites, yet the lack of passion is very visible.

The Beginning of JustNudism

That’s why, beginning early 2019, I decided to advocate for nudism and give something back to the community I hold so dearly. In fact, JustNudism.net was owned since March of 2019, which is when I started having the idea of creating my own platform, for those who sincerely believed in the ideals of nudism. It took 9 months of studying to better understand social media and make a fully functioning social media site that had Facebook-like features while also having full verification of its community. 

The reason behind Just Nudism is quite simple actually. It is a place that promotes self-esteem, body acceptance, friendship, and reality. Reality might seem like a small concept, but in the midst of sites that lack loyalty to their truest members, it is truly one of the defining details of the site. I wanted to create a real community, one that values nudism, and not sex. I feel that I have been successful in creating a constantly growing community of nudie friends, and I absolutely cannot put into words how amazing it feels to be in my position.
